Celebrating Chinese New Year was kind of different this year without the presence of my dad here in Malaysia. He's currently working overseas in Doha, Qatar. As a civil engineer, he's playing he's part in completing the project of building the soon-to-be world largest airport. It has been a year since he left for work in Doha. I miss him. So much. Extremely much. But I just have to wait 'til he finishes his project and get back to Malaysia which will be around March by estimation. Only by then I will get to see him.
So, I went back to Ipoh, Perak as usual after paying a visit to my grandmother here in PJ. Going back to Ipoh was very exciting for me as I can finally meet my baby cousins as well as my other relatives again. It has been quite a few years since each and everyone of us actually go back at the same time, meet up and have the reunion dinner together. Usually, one of us will be coming back a few days earlier. Then we ended up not meeting each other. It was an overwhelming joy having to see everyone having fun, eating and spending precious family moments together. The next time I meet them would probably be the next Chinese New Year in 2013!
